Job Description: The Associate Director is a key member of the Office of New Student and Family Programs ( ONSFP ). Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Students, and Director of New Student and Family Programs, the Associate Director serves as the primary leader in the absence of the Assistant Dean and Director. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the ONSFP and supervision of key staff members in the implementation of orientation programs for over 5,000 students and 6,000 family members and supporters. Lead the daily operations of orientation and parent and family programs and initiatives to provide quality customer service to students, families, and internal and external partners. The Associate Director supervises the Coordinator, Graduate Assistant for student orientation,65 orientation leaders, and 5 orientation coordinators. Recruit, train, and oversee the 65 Orientation Leaders. This includes the development Orientation Leader curriculum, facilitate the learning objectives, and the overall assessment of the course (mandatory UC 3690 2 credit hour class held each spring). Develop curriculum and facilitate the summer retreat for Orientation Leaders prior to the beginning of Bobcat Student Orientation. Work with Enrollment Management to execute Slate for orientation registration. Serve as the department's expert on understanding Slate and how to maximize its use for orientation registration as well as attendance tracking. Manage the key technology tools for orientation, Go OHIO and BSO Pre and Post modules. Including developing curricular content and learning outcomes for Pre and Post modules, communicating with campus partners about module or app update. Develops the content and required outcomes for pre-post modules and communicating with coordinator expectations for content creation. Collaborate and consult with key campus and community stakeholders to execute meaningful programming for orientation participants and coordinate with assistant academic deans to ensure all students register for courses before completing orientation. Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree ( MBA , Higher Education, CSP ) Must have a minimum of three (3) years work related experience. Must have a minimum of one (1) year management related experience. This is an in-person position located on the Athens campus. Must be able to respond to campus within ~30 minutes when serving on-call. Drivers License Required.
