RESPONSIBILITES: This position is responsible for the architecture, governance, and management & maintenance of the solution, Businessmap, and the application of the underlying process, the Kanban Method. In addition to being the organization's business owner and Subject Matter Expert (SME), the candidate will ensure that the tool and process are utilized efficiently to support business processes, data analysis, and decision-making. The incumbent will manage all day-to-day system administrative, maintenance, and troubleshooting efforts to keep the system running optimally, as well as play a key role in evolving the system's operations through the incorporation of innovative system enhancements & upgrades, system integrations, and productivity enhancing workflow development. Although the candidate will not have direct reports initially, there is potential for the role to have direct management responsibilities in the future. The ideal candidate will have significant skills and experience leading the implementation, management, and maintenance of workflow management utilizing the Kanban Method. They will have a strong understanding of the Kanban Method and corresponding tool governance, as well as top notch communication and project management skills, and proficiency to work closely with various departments to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. Technical Setup and configuration Configure workspaces, boards, workflows, permissions, and users, including external plug-in integration and Business Rule modification. Configuration refers to adjusting settings and options within an existing system using pre-built features, tailoring it to specific needs without writing new code. Migrate, integrate, and consolidate boards and workspaces. Ensure organizational consistency throughout the custom configuration within the tool. User provisioning and access. General User Support Provide general and technical Businessmap tool support to users, and when needed, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical issues. Manage user permissions across various projects, functional divisions, and teams. Point of contact between Businessmap and account population. Leads the group of power users. Effectively communicate and share knowledge with both internal and external stakeholders. Handle incident ticket data for comprehensive reporting and analytics. Creates and sustains dashboards and reports. Maintenance, Security, and Optimization Expertly manage Businessmap filters, reporting, dashboards, workflows, tags, business rules, outcome formulas, and custom fields. Test compatibility with new versions of tools, integrations, and plug-ins. Employ industry-standard methods and techniques for system optimization. Analyze, review, and document current system functionality for enhancement. Enhance Businessmap security and set access permissions for boards and workspaces. Coordinate with Businessmap to ensure features are understood and the development roadmap is aligned with the product roadmap. Leads Governance including with local tool Administrators to ensure system cohesion is maintained. Primary point of contact with vendor including relationship management and monthly software updates. Responsible for end-to-end testing when updates are released - must understand system inside & out. Notifies the vendor of bugs or updates our configurations to ensure compatibility. Process Kanban Method Implementation and Management - teams Offer guidance, coaching, and specific practices for the appropriate maturity level. Possess a thorough understanding of the Ways of Working with each business unit to identify and recommend workflows. Must have a thorough understand of the business process and put logic behind it. Apply understanding of Kanban not only from the team level but also apply knowledge and experience of Kanban at the Program and Portfolio levels. Steward backlog standards and practices, at all levels of work, to ensure confidence in the data and analytics that drive decisions. Guide individuals and teams in the creation of clear policies and procedures. Introduce new practices to teams for adoption and advancement through the maturity journey. Kanban Method Implementation and Management - organization Seamlessly partner with the leads of all planning/delivery processes within Hormel Foods to ensure the work delivery pipeline is fully integrated. Apply a deep understanding of change management and experience applying these methodologies to the ongoing evolution of the organization. Ability to influence the business units. Expertly provide coaching, mentoring, teaching, and/or facilitation by assessing which skills is required based on the situation. Demonstrate the ability to clearly and concisely explain complex processes and methodologies to a varied audience. (from CEO to frontline worker) Partner with all disciplines to identify and drive resolution to any gaps in the EPP process. Teach leaders enterprise-level strategy creation and goal setting processes. (e.g. KPIs, OKRs, etc.) QUALIFICATIONS: Required Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Kanban Maturity Model and its application to workflow management. Excellent organization, communication, and facilitation skills. Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making. Excellent problem-solving skills to identify gaps and develop plans for achieving objectives. Strong leadership skills for instilling trust, motivating and guiding teams. Ability to understand and meet the needs of a wide variety of stakeholders. Acts with minimal direction - both independently and as part of a team. Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States. Required-Technical Knowledge Configuration related Must have a thorough understanding of the systems logic to implement system updates and improvements to be able to recommend and implement process improvements to workflows and system changes and improvements. Have a thorough knowledge of tool capabilities to independently automate workflows within the tool. Ability to make decisions and recommendations through data driven analysis and statistics from the tool. Strong understanding of database management. Basic scripting/rule-creation logic. Familiarity with system administration. Project management methodologies - both PMI and Kanban. Basic API understanding. Businessmap specific ability to troubleshoot technical issues within the Businessmap platform. deep understanding of Businessmap features. Preferred Experience with developing, launching, documenting, and maintaining complex business processes within a large ($5 billion+) enterprise. Experience with other continuous improvement or Agile methods such as Scrum, Six Sigma, Lean, etc. Project management expertise. Location: Austin, MN A comprehensive relocation package to the Austin, MN area will be offered, if required. At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for the Businessmap Tool Administrator role is between $69,525 - $97,350 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
