Jo b Summary The Shipping Supervisor position is responsible for managing all outbound shipments Parcel and Freight. This includes but is not limited to SAP and logistics process via carrier portals for each method. The Supervisor should have the ability to step in and help when required. As part of the position, the Supervisor should look for opportunities to improve the shipping process. Primary Job Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including transferring, storage, and shipping of goods Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space and inventory control Manage and motivate shipping warehouse staff, providing guidance and training Maintain warehouse procedures and policies are followed Proficiently use SAP to manage inventory, process shipments, and generate shipping documents Maintain accurate SAP data for inventory levels, stock locations, and other relevant information Analyze SAP data to identify areas for improvement and optimize logistics processes Coordinate with other departments, such as purchasing, sales, and transportation, to ensure smooth and efficient shipping operations Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement Investigate and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to inventory or shipments; maintain traceability of packages for future reference Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and new technologies Prepare and present performance reports Jo b Requirements 3 years' experience in shipping in an industrial/manufacturing facility; 2 years' experience in a management or supervisory role Strong understanding of Shipping operations and logistics principles and processes Proficiency in SAP Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Physical Demands The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to operate basic tools, keyboards or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear The employee is occasionally required to walk frequently, sit; and may also be required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus Wh y Choose Us?
