Job Description East Plant Sr Quality Assurance Manager - Decatur, IL This is an Exempt position. Job Summary: The Senior Quality Manager is a leadership role within the East Plant team. This position provides proactive leadership in the development, implementation, execution, and performance of Quality systems and the Quality team to ensure products meet and are in compliance with the quality and food safety standards. Essential Job Functions: Provides support and guidance for day-to-day decision-making regarding quality/food safety impacts on products. Supports Quality and Food Safety training activities. Establishes goals and monitors metrics that support Quality and Food Safety. Manages, plans, implements, and continuously improves quality programs and procedures. Leads the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) initiative and drives improvement within the plants, reducing quality and food safety-related costs. Develops, implements, and monitors quality verification programs within the plants. Facilitates all Quality Management Review Meetings within the plants. Holds the role of SQF Practitioner. Works with operations to ensure products meet quality and food safety standards and provides support and guidance as needed. Provides product disposition for ready-to-eat products. Reports key performance indicators to Quality COE and East Plant leadership teams. Leads customer audits and other forms of customer communication requested from the plant. Leads compliance and regulatory audits. Manages the team of Quality Specialists responsible for the quality and food safety programs to ensure compliance with ADM, regulatory, and customer requirements. Provide quality training to new hires, and contractors, conduct refresher training as needed, and maintain training records. Maintains the food safety plans, ensures control points are being managed as per program. requirements, and as the lead PCQI coordinator for the facility, ensures risk assessments are accurate and up to date. Leads product recalls from the plant level with guidance from divisional resources when necessary. Participates/leads cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues. Routinely conducts GMP, Food Safety Plan / HACCP, and GFSI (SQF) compliance inspections. Leads root cause analysis and corrective action/preventative action plans in the event of a quality or food safety incident. Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities Job Qualifications: People management experience. Preferred 4-year degree plus 6 years of Food Safety experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior laboratory experience/knowledge of laboratory procedures and PCQI training. Working knowledge of Document Management, spreadsheets, Excel, and databases. Knowledge of applicable food regulations and requirements. Ability to make decisions based on information and data available. Ability to work as a team member and provide training. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors. The pay range for this position is expected to be between: $70,400.00 - $131,300.00 Salaried Incentive Plan The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus
