Job Title: HR Coordinator (Contractor-Sturtevant, WI) Compensation $23.00/hr. - $30.00/hr. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Dragon Xpress, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate. About Us Dragon Xpress is a private fleet specializing in local, regional, and owner-operator dry van freight. We have terminals based in Biron, WI and Sturtevant, WI. We are actively growing and looking for a self-starter who is hard-working, resourceful, and detail-oriented to join our team. Dragon Xpress, a dynamic and growing trucking company based in Sturtevant, WI, is seeking a motivated and organized Contract HR Coordinator to join our team. This is an onsite, full-time position with working hours from Monday to Friday. The duration of the contract is undetermined, offering flexibility and the potential for extension based on business needs. The Contract HR Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the recruitment and onboarding process, acting as the main point of contact for any HR-related questions, and contributing to various HR projects as needed. Job Responsibilities: Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of work. Lead the recruitment efforts for drivers, including posting job openings, reviewing applications, interviewing candidates, and extending offers. Collaborate with management to identify staffing needs and ensure the hiring process aligns with company requirements. Manage the full onboarding process for new hires, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Prepare and maintain new hire documentation, schedules, and training materials. Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth transitions for new employees. Assist with various HR projects such as performance management initiatives, employee training, and other HR-related tasks. Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of all HR documentation. Support ongoing HR initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain and track HR-related documentation, including new hire paperwork, certifications, and training records. Required Experience: Must have CDL-A recruiting experience. Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment law. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels. Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. . Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information. Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
