Job Title: Critical Care Respiratory Therapist Location: Bethesda North Respiratory Service Job Summary: This position involves providing respiratory care in various patient settings, including critical care, airway management, and mechanical ventilation. The ideal candidate will possess specialized knowledge and skills in these areas, with the ability to perform first-line adult or neonatal intubation, transport newborns, and act as a preceptor for clinical training of residents, nurses, and students. Responsibilities: Provide respiratory care in all patient care settings Perform duties of an RRT, with specialized knowledge and skills in critical care, airway management, and mechanical ventilation First-line adult or neonatal intubation Transport of newborns Act as a preceptor in the clinical training of residents, nurses, and students Requirements: Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program BLS and ACLS certification, if performing intubations NBRC registry or RRT RCP licensure in Ohio 3-4 years experience in a related field Working Conditions: The selected candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, frequently standing, talking, and using hands. They must also be able to occasionally climb, kneel, lift under 50 pounds, push, pull, reach, sit, stoop, and walk. Visual acuity is frequently required for far vision and consistently for near vision.
