Mammo Technologist Job Description We are seeking a skilled Mammo Technologist to join our team at MD Imaging, a Rezolut company. MD Imaging is a national emerging platform of diagnostic medical imaging services. Job Summary The Mammography Tech is responsible for detecting breast tissue abnormalities by completing mammographic imaging studies and presenting them for diagnosis. Essential Functions: Greet patients, confirm identification, review imaging requests, and check for special instructions. Gain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, providing explanations, and answering questions. Conduct mammography studies, position breasts, adjust compression mechanisms, instruct patients, and take images. Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques. Maintain production and quality of mammograms by following established standards and procedures. Ensure operation of mammography equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs. Keep mammography supplies and patient gowns ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and collecting laundry. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures. Document patient mammogram services by completing patient record charting. Competencies/Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to perform independently. Customer/Client Focused. Detailed-oriented. Requirements: Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic technology training. Meet requirements for registry by the America Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). PREFERRED: High proficiency in PC systems, tools, and applications. PREFERRED: Strong interest in scientific and technical skills.
