Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Paratransit Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at GVC II, a First Student company. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing transit vehicles, ensuring they are safe and reliable for our customers. About the Role Assist with preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections. Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair, including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions. Ensure work orders are completed accurately. Assist with mobile emergency services. Requirements Valid driver's license required; willingness to obtain CDL while employed - We train. At least 3 years of automotive or diesel maintenance and repair experience or technical school education. Possess a mechanic's tool set. Willingness to participate in ASE certification program - Training, testing, and bonuses provided. Subject to DOT drug testing as a safety-sensitive employee. Benefits $23-$24 per hour based on experience and qualifications (NOT flat-rate). An additional $0.25 per hour for each ASE certification you possess or obtain.
