Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate) - Elementary Level Location: Charter School, Compton, CA Position Type: Full-Time Start Date: ASP Job Summary: Our Charter School is seeking a dedicated and credentialed Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate) for the elementary level. The ideal candidate will provide specialized instruction and support to students with mild to moderate disabilities, ensuring an inclusive and effective learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and parents. Provide differentiated instruction tailored to meet students' diverse learning needs. Work closely with general education teachers to support students in both inclusive and pull-out settings. Assess students' academic and behavioral progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly. Foster a supportive classroom environment that promotes students' social-emotional growth and independence. Utilize data-driven decision-making to improve student learning outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all state and federal special education regulations. Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary teams regarding student progress. Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives. Qualifications: California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential (Required). Experience working with elementary-age students in a special education setting preferred.
