IT Test Analyst - hybrid

Job Description A contractor is needed to join a high-performing quality assurance team as an IT Test Analyst in Columbus, Ohio. This position participates in the delivery of quality software through cross-functional collaboration in an onshore/offshore model. Must be in-office for 3-5 days a week. Key Skills: Testing skills: Design and execution of test cases, bug tracking, POS and/or web testing experience, and understanding of different testing types. Soft skills: Team player, adaptable to project changes, and clear communication of test findings. Responsibilities: Responsible for test preparation and execution activities on projects, collaborating with application teams and ensuring timely completion of assignments. Participates in functional and technical design reviews to ensure understanding of business processes, technologies, and architectures. Creates or modifies test scenarios and test cases aligned with functional requirements. Ensures test data is defined and available in the test environment. Executes and statuses test cases, including proof of testing. Clearly documents defects and retests fixes in a required test management tool. Effectively communicates progress and status to test leads/ managers. Delivers quality work to meet application team and business partner needs. Works collaboratively in a project environment with cross-functional teams. Assists in driving issues to closure. Requirements: Retail experience preferred. Experience testing inventory management systems, including inbound and outbound interfaces. Experience working on OMS preferred. Experience testing Manhattan Active Omni a plus. Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile). Experience working on projects with multiple teams and resources. Experience working in an onshore/offshore model. Experience with HP ALM, JIRA, or other test and defect management tools. Organizational and planning skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate and coordinate. Proactive participation in team environments. Strong documentation and communication skills.
