South Peninsula Hebrew Day School is seeking a dynamic and passionate First Grade Teacher to join our education team. The school's educational philosophy is focused on nurturing the whole student; providing a challenging and innovative curriculum designed to inspire students to create, critically think, and solve real-world problems; and developing 21st-century skills in our students. This individual will be responsible for teaching language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, as well as supporting each student's social and emotional growth and development. The teacher is responsible for designing curricular content and lessons, which engage a variety of levels and differentiate appropriately to meet the learning needs of all students. In addition to classroom responsibilities, teachers are expected to attend faculty meetings as well as supervise recess and lunch. We encourage teachers who are passionate about innovative education and dedicated to creating a warm and safe classroom to apply.
