This position will... Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children at the Children's Center. Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities to meet children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs. Work well with others and fulfill responsibilities in line with the Center's mission and goals. Specific Duties: Follow the school's philosophy and policies. Supervise children indoors and outdoors, maintaining a clean and safe environment. Develop and implement an anti-bias, emergent curriculum. Meet children's maintenance needs (feeding, diaper-changing, etc.) and provide snacks. Notify lead or associate teachers of needed supplies and communicate effectively with staff. Attend staff meetings and center functions. Assist with routine paperwork and complete monthly reports. Set and achieve job-related goals with supervisors. Respond to lead teachers' requests and pass on information from parents. Support new substitutes, volunteers, and staff. Be flexible to assist other groups as needed. Respond quickly to urgent situations. Perform other assigned duties. Qualifications: Minimum 12 units in Early Childhood Education, including 3 units in Infant/Toddler care if applicable. 1-2 years of experience in a licensed Child Care Center or similar program; Infant/Toddler experience preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education, child development, and health and safety standards. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Computer competency; knowledge of Photoshop/Zoombrowser preferred.
