Position Details Specialty: Special Education Teacher Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Special Education Teaching Certification/ LBS1 Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs. Design engaging lesson plans aligned with state and district standards. Utilize a variety of teaching techniques and instructional materials to accommodate different learning styles. Provide direct instruction and support to students in academic, social, and behavioral areas. Modify curriculum as necessary to ensure accessibility and understanding. Implement positive behavior intervention strategies to foster a supportive learning environment. Work closely with general education teachers to support inclusive classroom settings. Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and related service providers about student progress and concerns. Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate student records. Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Prepare detailed progress reports and maintain thorough documentation of student development. Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and district regulations regarding special education. Stay updated on best practices by participating in professional development opportunities. Paid Holidays : 6 Paid holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Presidents Day and Memorial Day. Material Reimbursement : Reimbursement of $250.00 for any supplies purchased for your classroom Professional Development : We offer a reimbursement of $500.00 towards professional development this can include: CEU's, licensing fees, etc Housing: Generous housing stipend. Insurance Coverage: Premium medical, dental, vision, and life insurance starting on day one. And continued insurance coverage over the summer if qualified.
