About the job Meta Reality Labs, W2 Contract Engineering Program Manager Sunnyvale, CA Job Summary: EPM for New Technology Introduction (NTI) Meta Reality Labs is seeking an experienced EPM/TPM to join their New Technology Introduction (NTI) team in Sunnyvale, CA! This is an exciting position in which you will be overseeing top-priority program initiatives, working at the bleeding edge of technology that is the first-ever of its kind. Job Qualifications: 6+ years' experience as an EPM/TPM, managing hardware programs from concept to mass production Experience in first party product development, defining requirements and program constraints, and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders Experience in building 0-to-1 consumer electronics in both JDM and CM vendor engagement models Experience and understanding requirements and development flow of building consumer electronics products Hands-on engineering program management experience driving system and module level development as an individual contributor Experience working with CM/JDM/ODM suppliers or key component vendors Problem-solving and organizational experience and a focus on continuous improvement Experience building relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams BS in mechanical engineering (preferred), or other relevant engineering discipline, physics, or equivalent experience Job Responsibilities: Drive combined mechanical, electrical and xfn schedules, builds, and DOEs at component, module, and final assembly sites Contribute to product development process and best practices for factory management Coordinate build activities from prototype through ramp in collaboration with the engineering and operations teams Frequent coordination with suppliers (foreign and domestic) to enforce development schedules, quality and manufacturing processes required during the development cycle Train supplier base in best practices for mechanical program management and enforce development schedules, quality and manufacturing processes required during the development cycle Effectively communicate build statuses, identify potential risks and setbacks, and develop mitigation strategies Interface directly with the supply chain, quality, engineering and vendor teams to drive development, including DFM, tooling/fixture processes, FAI/CPK qualification, electrical validation, test, reliability, production and shipment Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and technology development processes in a quickly-changing and dynamic environment to ensure on time delivery
