We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Director of Sales to drive revenue growth in the eastern region of the US and Canada in the rapidly evolving climate technology space. In this senior sales leadership role, you will be responsible for sales lead identification to customer close and carry an annual sales target. CarbonQuest offers a competitive base salary + an uncapped sales-based incentive compensation plan + equity options. For a successful candidate, the sales-based incentive compensation plan is uncapped and has ratchets with the potential for payouts multiple times base salary. Job Responsibilities include: Sales Strategy & Delivery: Lead sales opportunities in the region from sales lead identification to customer close and carry an annual sales target. Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives, including targeting buyers with our unique, distributed carbon capture technology and solution. Establish sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics to ensure the consistent delivery of results. Develop a comprehensive funnel of opportunities, qualifying and driving opportunities through the funnel to deliver against sales objectives supporting the company's booking and revenue objectives. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the product and marketing teams to ensure product offerings align with customer needs and market demand. Partner with the leadership team to develop go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and sales enablement tools to enhance effectiveness. Sales Process Optimization & Reporting: Regularly report on sales performance, market trends, customer feedback, and revenue forecasts to executive leadership. Ensure adherence to sales best practices and legal/regulatory requirements, particularly in the climate and clean tech sectors. Qualifications / Skills: Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in sales with demonstrable success against sales targets. Previous role in the carbon capture, climate technology, clean tech, renewable energy, or sustainability sectors a plus. Deep understanding of climate technology solutions, market dynamics, customer needs, and key industry players. Proven track record in driving revenue growth, market expansion, and complex sales cycles involving enterprise customers, government contracts, and large-scale projects. Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire a cross-functional team. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage C-suite executives and influence decision-making. Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions. Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement tools.
