The purpose includes ensuring development and application of design standards for buildings, systems, landscape, and hardscape. In addition, the position provides guidance and oversight of the design process to ensure consistency in approach and business processes. Description: This position leads the effort to achieve the "aesthetic and materials vision" for Dartmouth College's campus assets and new construction and renovation. Dartmouth facilities include over 6.5 million square feet of space in 165 buildings, serving over 5,900 students and 4,000 faculty and staff. Required Qualifications - Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, or a similar field. Licensure as an architect in New Hampshire, or the ability to obtain by reciprocity within one year. 10 years of experience in planning and design in a campus environment. Experience developing design standards and managing design processes. Experience and certifications in sustainability or high performance buildings. Valid driver's license and ability to qualify as a Dartmouth Approved Driver. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field. 15 years of experience in planning and design in a campus environment.
