Reports To: Marketing Manager Manages: None Summary/Objectives: The Marketing Associate undertakes various tasks which contribute to the planning, implementation, and support of broader marketing initiatives intended to drive sales and generate awareness of the company. This role is responsible for providing graphic design that will contribute to multiple areas of marketing, the management of our website, managing day-to-day administrative tasks and assists in developing engaging campaigns and strategies to drive web traffic. These campaigns require the marketing associate to create compelling content for online outreach and print advertising and create attractive promotional material, with the primary goal of increasing our client base and market visibility. In this position, the Marketing Associate will have a high degree of ownership of his or her role and, as such, must possess a great deal of self-initiative, self-discipline, and enthusiasm for the work and the opportunity to learn and take on more. Lastly, the Marketing Associate must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines. Primary Responsibilities/Functions: Support the development and maintenance of internal tools and media assets, including the organization and management of marketing assets/files and internal communications, such as company newsletters. Oversee the operation of a company's website. Conduct research and draft content for company website, social media, and other purposes as needed. Content may include detailed graphics, blog articles, case studies, weekly newsletter copy, press releases, etc. Maintain a directory and inventory of sales support materials, ensuring all resources are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials as needed. Participate in the development of branding and corporate identity initiatives; supporting the overall marketing strategy and departmental plan. Develop, plan, and produce content that is relevant and responsive to identified market opportunities and current industry trends. Support the development of innovative messaging, materials, advertising, public relations, social media, and events. Review analytics and performance of marketing efforts; identify ways to assess and improve. Required Skills/Attributes: Creating compelling visual content using images, typography, and illustrations for diverse marketing mediums (presentations, online ads, social media, print, email). Competency in Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Competency in Adobe Creative Suite programs, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop & Premier Pro. Competency in website management platforms, including WordPress, WP Engine, and Google webmaster tools. Excellent writing skills (both creative and technical) with great attention-to-detail, including spelling, grammar, syntax, and formatting. The ability to perform research and summarize findings proficiently and efficiently. Social media management skills across major platforms (Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and especially LinkedIn). Social media advertising, including knowledge of LinkedIn Campaign Manager, keyword research and content creation (whether copy, photo, or video). Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask. Professional and proactive work ethic. Initiative and resourcefulness - if you don't know how to do something, you know how to figure it out. Excellent project management and communication skills. Preferred Education/Experience: Associate's degree in marketing or communications OR 3+ years' experience as a Marketing Associate or higher. 2+ years at a Construction or Architecture firm. Graphic Design experience. Basic videography/photography (shooting and editing). Basic animation skills. Experience with multi-media campaigns and/or Joint Marketing. Experience in AutoCAD/BIM Software. Position KPIs: To be determined after 90 days from start date. Work Environment: This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing some of the duties of this job, the employee may be required to walk into the shop/warehouse and may be exposed to shop conditions, ongoing construction, and various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud. The employee is required to have a clean workspace in the office. In an instance where the employee is working offsite, at home, at a hotel, etc., the employee is required to have a clean workspace for virtual meetings, internally or externally with clients, vendors, etc. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must also occasionally lift and move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and color vision. Position may require remaining in a stationary position, often sitting for prolonged periods. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time in office position (40 hours). Workdays are Monday through Friday, work times are dependent on department, projects, and supervisor's request and approval.
