A law firm seeks a dedicated Criminal Defense Intake Attorney to join their growing team in Los Angeles. Duties: Monitor case management software to vet live cases and identify potential criminal defense cases. Review intake forms and documents submitted by potential clients, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Evaluate potential criminal defense cases and assess legal strategies. Provide legal guidance and suggest possible services to prospective clients. Communicate with existing clients regarding additional legal services outside of their current scope. Answer client inquiries and explain legal processes in a clear and approachable manner. Work closely with the sales team to provide feedback and meet with potential clients to discuss their cases. Supervise intake paralegals and virtual assistants to ensure efficient and accurate handling of intake procedures. Requirements: 1-5 years of experience in Criminal Defense Law or a related legal field. Proven ability to evaluate criminal cases and manage caseloads effectively. Strong team player who is proactive in collaborating with colleagues and providing strategic input. Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred but not required. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients. Experience with case management software is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications: Active membership in the State Bar of California or the ability to obtain membership. Skills: Familiarity with criminal defense law and intake processes. Strong legal research and case analysis abilities. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. Skilled in providing legal advice and determining case strategies.
