Senior Electrical Engineer - Hybrid - 10-20% Travel

As our company name implies, we have primarily been developing embedded software, but more and more we are also getting heavily into hardware. This position will be the primary Electrical Engineer for our company and will lead the appropriate electrical development activities within our company and for our customer projects. The selected candidate will operate in a small yet diverse team environment that supports products through all phases of the life cycle. This includes conceptual development, detailed design, qualification, as well as manufacturing transition and production support. The engineer will be responsible for developing and producing robust hardware solutions to meet demanding customer requirements. They will leverage their electrical engineering experience to perform tasks including circuit and CCA design and analysis, technical trade studies, analog/digital/mixed signal interface design, reverse engineering of legacy designs, component selection, evaluation of technology insertion/upgrades, as well as laboratory test and troubleshooting. Salary range is $90,000-$130,000 depending on experience. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering 6+ years of experience in an electrical engineering role Experience designing/developing avionics products. Products that include surveillance, displays, or recorders is a plus. Experience in RTOS integration and understanding of its implications on hardware design Design circuits with microprocessors, memory, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, high-speed busses including PCIE, and various avionics interfaces About Performance: Performance Software is engaged in the design of Real-time Embedded Software and Hardware. This includes Avionics and Space Exploration applications such as Synthetic Vision Cockpit Displays, Flight Management System Guidance and Navigation, Platforms, and Datalink Applications. Our customers are both Commercial and Defense-related avionics and rocketry suppliers/manufacturers.
