Uses online tools to collaborate with business stakeholders and user experience researchers to identify potential improvements to customer experiences. Uses design tools to wireframe, prototype, and design concepts. Creates user flows, information architectures, journey maps, and translates customer research, analytics, and insights into wireframes and high-fidelity designs. Works on agile teams that deliver value in digital products. Primary Responsibilities: Lead the strategic planning and execution of user experience design for mobile applications within financial services. Drive innovation by staying informed of industry trends, user behaviors, and emerging technologies to enhance mobile UX solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and business stakeholders, to align mobile UX designs with business objectives. Partner with user researchers to conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to inform and validate mobile designs. Establish and maintain design systems, guidelines, and best practices to ensure a cohesive and user-friendly mobile experience across platforms. Mentor other mobile UX designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, considering security and accessibility in mobile design solutions. Act as a key advocate for the end user, balancing business requirements with a user-centered design approach to deliver exceptional mobile experiences. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal User Experience Designer (or closely related occupation) performing user experience research, design, and testing using Figma. Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal User Experience Designer (or closely related occupation) performing user experience research, design, and testing using Figma. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") designing user experiences for responsive web and native mobile (iOS or Android) applications in collaboration with other designers, using Figma to create mockups and user flows, leveraging component libraries, and contributing to an enterprise design system for these platforms. DE partnering with senior product and technology leaders to conceptualize, document, and execute against a strategic vision to enhance the responsive web and native mobile experience for retail financial investing customers, including navigating financial regulations and industry-specific challenges. DE designing for the capabilities and constraints of native mobile technology frameworks - SwiftUI or Jetpack Compose - and creating native mobile experiences that meet published industry standards for accessibility. DE operating as an embedded member of a geographically-distributed Agile product development team, using Jira to plan and track user experience activities and deliverables, and applying both quantitative and qualitative research methods to evaluate the efficacy of design concepts and solutions.
