Job Description: The digital Product Management team at TD provides business led journey, architecture, and roadmap leadership as it relates to our Digital Onboarding value streams supporting our customers and colleagues. This leader has experience managing consumer and/or commercial customer onboarding through digital acquisition and/or customer deepening - including E2E digital experiences like ID proofing, account set-up and product cross-sell/up-sells. Strong understanding of digital acquisition and onboarding strategies, funnel management and digital marketing experience to drive product innovation to deliver customer-centric frictionless experiences. The Senior Product Group Manager oversees, leads and provides strategic direction to a team of product management professionals in developing and implementing the Bank's products, services, programs and projects including features, benefits and characteristics that meet customer needs. The Senior Product Group Manager is responsible for formulating strategy, policy and overall direction of the identified product or suite of products portfolio. This role is accountable for building a strong talent pipeline within the team. Depth & Scope: Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling disciplinary actions, as required. Oversees and leads a highly complex and diverse product function for an area of significant complexity or scope while growing talent, developing skills and capabilities to achieve career goals, support project/initiative success and achieve business results. Generally accountable for a significant product management area that typically has enterprise wide impact or accountability. Enterprise or functional expert, requiring broad managerial and deep specialized knowledge at the enterprise, business, regulatory and industry levels. Leads and manages teams handling mass or niche products/segment suites, with moderate to high levels of size/complexity of the product groups/segments. Provides coaching, mentorship and guidance to practitioners, business, executives within area of expertise. Manages and oversees the overall discipline and strategy for the respective areas while aligning to the enterprise best practices. Strategic partner to leadership team on the management of the portfolio and financials, with deep industry, external/internal, enterprise knowledge, recognizing and anticipating emerging trends. Identifies operational efficiencies and opportunities with other business management/enterprise areas. Facilitates key strategic discussions and provides thought leadership to executive audience. Sets overall team direction and collaborates with others to execute on common goals. Focus on longer-range planning for functional area. Oversees product teams and ensures the simple and efficient delivery of products and services to the customer. Provides vision, leadership and strategic guidance in developing and implementing Bank's products, services and programs. Develops and implements products/policies and procedures in such a way that it enhances the end to end customer experience while achieving business objectives. Develops and manages the product development calendar for the team and oversees the successful and seamless execution of deliverables. Builds and maintains effective relationships with sales distribution, key internal stakeholders and/or external partners to ensure that customer needs are considered in strategic decisions. Leads business plans leveraging Acquisition and Segments teams to increase new account growth and track P&L impact. Liaises with partners to understand industry and customer trends; Analyzes challenges and identifies areas of opportunity through customer research. Manages the product development budget of the team; Determines the optimal allocation of overall budget. Manages the identification of competitive offerings in the market and their strengths and weaknesses. Determines the methodology to quantify market analysis to assess product performance. Oversees the creation of product roadmaps to illustrate the vision for the product. Partners with marketing and various channels to develop programs to move buyers through the buying process. Directs market research projects and recommends methods for growing existing markets. Establishes an annual business and expense plan for the product/segment. Implements and monitors product/segment performance against objectives. Delivers financial results for the product/product suite. Works closely with key business leaders to develop business plan. Conducts ongoing industry and competitive analysis to obtain market insights. Executes on the annual business plan to deliver results aligned with business strategies. Develops and implements products to drive profitable product growth. Refines product management strategies through detailed analysis of the P&L. Participates and collaborates on initiatives with internal and external service providers. Ensures effective product policies and processes are established to support business processes. Reviews and approves business and expense plans. Ensures all products are in compliance and meet all regulatory requirements. Maintains a culture of risk management and control. Education & Experience: Undergraduate degree or product management certificate and/or 10+ years relevant experience. Previous Product experience required. Experience in leading strategy strongly recommended. Advanced knowledge of product research, product analysis and development. Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends. Advanced ability to lead, plan, implement and evaluate program/project activities. Ability to contribute to strategic direction of the product management function. Ability to forecast initiatives and demand. Skill in mentoring, coaching and performance management. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams and functions. Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently. Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions. Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines. Skill in preparing and managing budgets, P&L and resource allocation. Knowledge of and/or skill in using analytical software tools. Skill in using computer applications including MS Office.
