We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior HRIS and Analytics Specialist based in our Evanston, IL office. The Senior HRIS and Analytics Specialist is responsible for the effective management and administration of the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) for UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement organizations. The Senior HRIS & Analytics Specialist oversees the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the HRIS (Workday) system and ensures its alignment with HR strategies and objectives. Working under the Finance department, this role collaborates closely with various stakeholders, including HR teams, IT departments, and senior management, to enhance HR processes, streamline data management, and provide accurate HR reporting and analytics. What you'll learn and achieve: Oversee the entire HRIS lifecycle, including implementations, configurations, maintenance, and upgrades. Ensure the smooth operation and functionality of the HRIS and its data integrity. Develop and implement data management strategies to ensure accurate, consistent, and secure HR data. Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and enhance system functionality, recommending and implementing appropriate solutions. Generate and analyze HR data reports, metrics, and analytics to support decision-making and provide insights to stakeholders. Provide training and support to HR staff and system users to ensure efficient and effective utilization of the HRIS. Collaborate with HRIS vendors to address system issues and implement enhancements. Ensure HRIS compliance with data protection regulations and internal policies, maintaining data privacy and confidentiality. Lead and/or support HRIS-related projects, including system upgrades, integrations, testing of the system, and new module implementations. Collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including HR teams, IT departments, and senior management to create and maintain comprehensive documentation of HRIS processes, procedures, and system configurations. Contribute to and/or lead other department-specific and cross-functional initiatives. What makes you a great fit: Strong technical proficiency in HRIS systems (Workday) and related tools. Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and visualization using HRIS reporting tools. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive HR data appropriately. Continuous learning mindset to keep up with evolving HR technology trends and best practices. Professional education and experience requirements for the role include: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Information Systems, or a related field. Minimum 6 years of experience supporting HRIS systems administration. Prior experience with Workday is required. Relevant certifications or specialized training in HRIS/Workday system is a plus. In-depth knowledge of HR processes, policies, and regulations.
