Location Augusta University- Our Health Sciences Campus: 1120 15th Street, Augusta, GA 30912 Job Summary The Director of Graduate Student Engagement and Success will help identify barriers and gaps in graduate student support services at Augusta University, work collaboratively across colleges to understand the unique needs of distinct populations of graduate and professional students, and work as a liaison to student life and support units to create a strong platform on which to develop graduate student support options to rival any other university in the nation. Responsibilities The duties include, but are not limited to: DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT PROGRAMS: Create, implement, and oversee programs that promote graduate student engagement and success- professional development workshops, seminars, and social events. COLLABORATE WITH FACULTY, STAFF, AND STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES: Work closely with faculty and staff to ensure that graduate students are receiving the support they need. ASSESS PROGRAM EFFECTIVENESS: Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of student engagement and success programs and existing student support services for graduate and professional students. PARTNERSHIP & PROMOTE AWARENESS: Partner with the Office of Access, Success, and Belonging and the Office of Multicultural Student Engagement to support underrepresented and international students. STAY CURRENT WITH BEST PRACTICES: Keep up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in student engagement and success. ADVOCATE FOR STUDENTS: Create a centralized resource for the graduate and professional student community. MANAGE BUDGETS: Oversee the budget for student engagement and success initiatives. OTHER DUTIES: Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited college or university combined with three years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university combined with five years of relevant experience. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities KNOWLEDGE: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases; self-motivated and resourceful. SKILLS: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills. ABILITIES: Ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to work independently with only general supervision under tight timelines. Pay Band: B13 Salary: $68,500 - $80,000 Benefits that may be elected could include health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, Teachers Retirement System (or Optional Retirement Plan), as well as earned vacation time, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays.
