Behavior Technician Schedule: Monday through Friday Job Description: We are actively seeking compassionate and dedicated behavior technicians to provide essential support to students in school-based settings. Join a dynamic team that is focused on improving the educational and behavioral outcomes of students with special needs. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 or classroom support to students in grades K-12, ranging from mild to severe behavioral challenges, ensuring individualized attention. Assist with managing behavioral issues, including physical and verbal aggressions , emotional outbursts, and challenges related to medically fragile students. Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and provide support during episodes of elopement, self-injurious behaviors, and other special needs situations. Facilitate toileting and diapering assistance , as needed, ensuring dignity and respect for students. Use positive reinforcement strategies such as token economies, visual schedules, and sensory tools to help students meet their IEP goals and objectives. Support social skills development , classroom engagement, and academic participation, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Training & Development: 4-hour online training in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) basics provided to ensure foundational knowledge and skills before starting. Ongoing professional development opportunities , including access to the Bridge Academy, which provides advanced coursework to enhance your skills and further your education in special education and ABA principles. Qualifications: Minimum of a High School Diploma with at least 60 college credits, or higher education (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
