Salary: $180,000 - $300,000 per year Qualifications At least five years of experience at a law firm or accounting firm performing income tax work, with at least some experience in a combination of real estate taxation (Section 1031 exchanges especially), taxation of trusts / estates, and taxation of pass-thru entities Familiarity with all aspects of Microsoft Office, with a particular emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; mastery of Microsoft Office preferred Strongly Preferred: Authorship of an IRS Circular 230-compliant tax opinion Strongly Preferred: Demonstrable history of direct client contact, project management, or supervision and training of younger staff Preferred: Master of Laws in Taxation from NYU, Georgetown, Boston U., or Miami Preferred: Dual-licensed attorney / CPAs Preferred: Experience performing employee benefits taxation work Preferred: Experience in any of the following areas: Qualified Opportunity Zones, fiduciary income tax, cross-border corporate tax, taxation of bankruptcy, or taxation of mergers and acquisitions Experience with Clio a plus Benefits Robust benefits package, including group life and disability insurance for every employee 401(k) safe harbor match Contribution toward health insurance premiums Complementary gym membership for you and your spouse Streaming service reimbursement (e.g., Netflix) Wholesale club reimbursement (e.g., Costco) Flexible work hours and location, including option for 100% remote Encouragement of continuing education (both presenting and attending), networking, and suggestions to improve firm operations Mentorship about technical aspects of law practice and how to build a book of business Want to learn more about this role and Jobot?
