This role will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City. LinkedIn's Business Operations team is seeking a highly strategic, driven, and analytical Senior Associate to tackle high-priority strategic and executional questions on digital Trust and Safety. This individual will partner with a wide range of cross-functional teams from Product, Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence to Ops, Policy, and Legal to ensure that LinkedIn is a safe and trusted platform for our members and customers. This is a great role for someone with a passion for the intersection between policy, technology, and strategy, and will require an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work independently to drive impact. Responsibilities: Be an expert: Develop in-depth understanding of the business drivers for Trust and the broader LinkedIn product ecosystem. Distill direction: Lead in-depth analytical efforts in an unstructured environment to generate insights on key value drivers and improvement opportunities. Influence decision-making: Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to cross-functional Trust leadership, influencing decision-making on key strategy and operations issues. Manage performance: Define key metrics, forecast performance, establish goals, and identify / diagnose / resolve performance issues. Create connective tissue: Work with a broad set of partners to ensure the successful delivery of key cross-functional priorities by sharing knowledge, driving efficient collaboration, proactively flagging risks or bottlenecks, and recommending course-corrections as appropriate. Qualifications Basic Qualifications BA/BS degree in engineering, math, statistics, physics, computer science, business or related discipline or relevant work experience. 4+ years of work experience in a strategy related role with an emphasis on quantitative skills. Preferred Qualifications Practical experience: Experience with and/or genuine passion for technology, online businesses, strategy/competitor analysis, and/or entrepreneurship. Natural problem-solver: Comfortable with data and ambiguity, and able to both delve into the details and engage meaningfully on higher level strategy. Highly analytical: Experience decomposing and solving real-world business problems, ideally building/using advanced Excel models. SQL a plus. Effective communications: Excellent communication skills to distill complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations. Initiative and ownership: Ability to act with limited oversight on day-to-day basis, balancing multiple priorities. Proactive and relentless: Independently capable of seeking information in an unstructured environment, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations. Team-first attitude: Motivated to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment to help our growing business and how LinkedIn operates. Executive presence: Experience working closely with senior executives to solve challenging business problems; ability to credibly and compellingly present and debate recommendations with senior leadership. The pay range for this role is $96,000 - $156,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
