Job Title:Lead Barista, EveningsJob Summary:We are seeking a warm and hospitable Lead Barista to join our team at Winans Coffee and Chocolate. As a Lead Barista, you will be the heart and soul of our coffee shop, ensuring that every customer feels welcomed and valued. You will report to the Store Manager and help oversee daily operations, maintain high standards of coffee preparation, and foster a positive, community-oriented environment.Responsibilities:Greet customers with a warm and friendly attitude, creating a welcoming atmosphere.Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages, maintaining consistency and excellence in every cup.Oversee the training and development of barista staff, ensuring they adhere to company standards.Responsible for closing the store and ensuring that its ready to operate the next morning.Manage inventory and supplies, placing orders as needed to maintain stock levels.Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following health and safety guidelines.Resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.Promote and educate customers about our coffee and chocolate products.Qualifications:Previous experience as a barista, with strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques.Availability 4-5 shifts per week from late afternoon to close (approximately 8:30PM)Excellent customer service skills, with a genuine passion for creating a welcoming environment.Leadership abilities, with experience in training and supervising staff.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to multitask and balance shop tasks with high and low-volume sales periods throughout the day.Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.Have or can quickly and easily obtain Level 1 Food Safety Training, Person in Charge certificate.Ability to pass a criminal background check.Ability and Willingness to adhere to brand dress code and grooming standards.Both Winans and the building we are in are strictly non-smoking, employees must be willing and able to refrain from tobacco and vaping use at all times while on-site.Local to the Marysville areaBenefits:Competitive hourly base wageTip-EligibleEmployee discounts on coffee and chocolate productsA positive and supportive work environment, no drive-through, fryers, or baking on-site.Next Steps:If you are a warm, hospitable individual with a passion for coffee and chocolate, we would love to hear from you!We look forward to reviewing your application and will be in touch soon!Winans Coffee and Chocolate is a beloved Ohio establishment dedicated to providing exceptional small batch roasted coffee and handcrafted chocolates.
