Here is your chance to join the Crown Beverage Division.LOCATION:Crown Beverage Packaging, Winchester Plant #003 1461 Martinsburg Pike, Winchester, VA 22603POSITION OVERVIEW:ProductionMillwright for an aluminum end manufacturing plant. The plant operates on a continuous schedule 24/7. Employees work 12-hour shifts. We also offer hour shift differential of $.88. In addition to a competitive salary, (Starting pay is $27.41/hour, $28.78 beginning June 16, 2025.) our employees enjoy a full benefits package including free company paid health insurance for employees as well as excellent retirement package (a pension, company 401(k) and Stock Purchase Plan), Tuition Reimbursement, Safety shoe allowance and Prescription Safety Glasses.This position will trouble-shoot, repair, replace, maintain and installstationary industrial machinery and mechanicalproduction related equipmentwithin this high-speed metal packaging manufacturing facility. These positions will also provide training for equipment operation and safety precautions.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The ProductionMillwrights responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:Follow all plant safety rules & required PPE at all timesEnsure safe operation practicesInterest in building and repairing a varietyof mechanical systemsFabrication for machinery and special items as requiredRepair manufacturing equipment such as conveyors, pumps, piping, and other mechanical equipmentComply with all environmental, health, safety and housekeeping programsRebuild production equipmentAbility to WeldAbility to drill and tap holesAbility to read blueprints and technical specificationsAbility to visualize a layout by looking at plansExperience in conveyor systems and maintenance of systemsAbility to remove broken boltsAbility to use cutting torchesGood verbal communication skillsAbility to work to exacting standardsAbility to get along with co-workersAbility to work at heights or in cramped spacesSafety awareness and responsible work attitudeMathematical and mechanical abilityAn analytical approach to problem-solvingInterest in keepingup in the fieldWill include other tasks as necessary for the operation of the department and the plant.Job Requirements/QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum RequirementsMust have significant experience in operating production machines. Mechanical BackgroundRelated work experience or technical training/school or technical degrees may be substituted for the required work experience.Ability to work a 12 hour shift which may include night shift and weekends.Ability to stand for long periods of time.Preferred RequirementsThree (3) plus years of experienceindustrial maintenance experience.high school diploma or GED (preferred but not required)CompetenciesLanguage skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of team members or to customers.Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
