Job Summary:As a Mechanic you will oversee and perform the preventative and reactive maintenance duties required for the plant manufacturing operation. Essential Responsibilities:Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and systemsPerform routine maintenance and minor repairs on semi-trucks, forklifts and trailersConduct inspections to identify and resolve issues in a timely mannerTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problemsWeld and fabricate parts as needed, is a plusRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsMaintain accurate records of maintenance activitiesEnsure OSHA compliance with safety regulations and company policiesRequired Skills & Abilities:Strong mechanical knowledge and proficiency in troubleshooting and repair techniquesFamiliarity with electrical systems, including wiring, motors, and control panelsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematicsProficient in welding and fabrication techniques, are a plusKnowledge of logic controllers and automation systems are a plusExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalRequirements:RequirementsEducation and Experience:Minimum of 4 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related fieldMinimum of 4 years of experience in minor semi-truck repairs including tires and brakesHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent education preferred. CDL Class A or B Driver license is a PlusPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift loads of up to 100 pounds without the lift truck. Ability to climb, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and reach above shoulder level.Ability to withstand varying temperatures. Must be able to work in different positions for a very long period of time and ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel or walk for up to eight (8) hours at a time.
