HEAVY CIVIL CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENTAny additional information you require for this job can be found in the below text Make sure to read thoroughly, then apply.We are searching for results-driven, skilled, and talented Project Managers for heavy civil projects in the Northeast, Southeast, and Texas.Location, positions, and projects vary.Experienced Project Managers plan and oversee the building process of heavy civil construction project(s) from start to finish. If your heavy civil project management skills range from pre-construction to completing heavy civil projects on time and on budget, we may have a great opportunity for you!Location:DFW Metro TX AreaProjects:Large-Scale InfrastructureDirect Hire Position, Competitive benefits, and salary packages!!Job Duties/Project Manager:Oversees projects are completed in a timely, safe manner and within budgetPlan and formulate civil construction projects according to project requirements and engineering standardsCollaborate with field management to ensure successful resolution of issues between the project plan and site execution on an ongoing basisApprove all equipment, personnel changes, and requisitions prepared and submitted by SuperintendentsPromote long-term customer commitments by maintaining professional relationships responding to information requests promptlyEnsure that the project crews are delivering quality work according to the construction plans and specificationsOversee and manage accurate project documentationWork with the Sr. Project Management team to schedule crews and equipment so that work is completed to meet project schedulesEnsure contract, permit and authorization compliance are accurate, complete and within required time linesMaintain day-to-day communication with the Sr. Project Management team, Subcontractors and ownersStrong ability to read, comprehend and build from construction set drawingsProvide all daily, monthly reporting of job(s) progress and challengesUtilize project management software such as Heavy Job, Procure, P6Create and manage project budget for all assigned projectsDevelop and collaborate on pre-construction packagesConduct project meetings with owners and subcontractorsUnderstand and oversee project administration, including RFIs, Submittals, Change Orders, etc.Generate and Maintain Project Schedules Utilizing the Critical Path Method via Microsoft Project, Primavera Software or other Construction SoftwareManage direct reports, including Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers and Supporting StaffExcellent Leadership and Communication Capabilities. Lead by Example.Promote and oversee Safety and Company long-term goals and company cultureConduct weekly meetings with the project team (to include scheduling and costing review)Develop and effectively manage against the project budget and ensure the project meets projected/required marginsEnsure the accuracy of weekly labor and equipment reports and monthly cost reportsConduct and document ongoing financial projections of project performance throughout project lifeSubmit accurate and timely cost and income projections and pay requisitions for projectDemonstrate a thorough understanding of contract terms and specificationsEnsure timely and appropriate communications of time extensions and delays to owner in accordance with contract requirementDocument, prepare, and initiate claims, if necessaryEnsure accuracy, appropriate detail and timely submittal of Superintendent 2-week schedulesOversee the issuance of subcontracts and supplier purchase ordersEnsure the appropriate performance management of subcontractorsOther Duties as AssignedWork Experience, Attributes and/or Education Requirements:Minimum 5 Years Heavy Civil Construction Management ExperienceRequiredBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (4 years) PreferredProfessional license, certifications and contractor licensesPreferredRelevant Project Portfolio to include infrastructure projects such as Landfills, Dams, Spillways, Bridge, Heavy Highway & Infrastructure Experience, Large Scale Water Control,Large Utility Project Management ExperienceRequiredStrong computer skills to included , P6, Heavy Job, Heavy Bid, ProcoreExcellent oral and written communication skillsProven ability to manage multiple, large-scale, challenging projectsProven ability to organize and prioritize tasks for self and project teamAbility to adapt and work effectively with diverse workforcePhysical Requirements:Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standardsAbility to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standardsMust be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephoneMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Windrose Staffing was born from a passion to want to help others to succeed in their career goals and to assist companies in finding a great match for talent.
