JOB TITLE: Senior Estimator / EstimatorIf you are considering sending an application, make sure to hit the apply button below after reading through the entire description.LOCATION: HertfordshireSALARY/RATE AND BENEFITS: See belowQualifications - See belowROLE INFORMATION :Our client is looking for a fully formed, highly competent Senior Estimator / Estimator toThis role requires a plug-and-play professional who can hit the ground running with minimal training or supervision.The successful candidate will play a key role in the pre-construction phase, providing accurate cost estimations across a range of industrial refurbishment projects, including package analysis and subcontractor procurement.Key Responsibilities:Full cradle-to-grave estimating across industrial refurbishment projects (both internal and external works)Comprehensive package analysis across multiple trades including demolition, cladding, roofing, M&E, and internal fit-outDevelopment of detailed first-principles estimates and cost plansAssessment of subcontractor quotes and tender returnsPreparation of tender submissions and client presentationsIdentifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering optionsLiaising with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricesAttending site visits and pre-tender meetingsManaging multiple tenders simultaneously to tight deadlinesKey Requirements:Minimum 5+ years' experience as an Estimator, ideally within industrial refurbishment or commercial projectsExcellent understanding of first-principles estimating across multiple tradesAbility to break down packages and conduct detailed package analysisStrong commercial awareness and knowledge of market ratesExperience working on projects valued between £500k - £10mProven track record of working autonomously with minimal supervisionProficient in estimating software (e.g. ConQuest, Causeway, Excel-based templates)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to build strong relationships with clients and subcontractorsDesirable:Experience working on industrial, logistics, or commercial refurb projectsKnowledge of NEC and JCT contractsRelevant construction qualifications (HNC/HND/DegreeIf you're looking for work please give us a call on (phone number removed) for more informationFacebook : Please add Kirsty Rullion for all future projectsWe are an Equal Opportunities employer and actively encourage applications from all sectors of the community'."JArmstrong"Since 1978, Rullion has been securing exceptional candidates for a range of clients; from large well-known brands, to SMEs and start ups.
