£35,000 - £45,000If you want to know about the requirements for this role, read on for all the relevant information.Barnsley, UKFull Time, Monday - Friday, Office BasedApproach Personnel are proud to be working with a reputable construction and civil engineering contractor who are seeking a Buyer to join them in their Barnsley office, helping with the purchasing and resources.The company is a small, close-knit business with a friendly team and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, so this role would be perfect for someone who is experienced in buying with a construction background.Day to Day:Identifying new supply chain opportunities and interviewing potential new suppliersProcuring and collating quotations and information in line with project budgets and quality standards from potential new suppliersAuthorising plant and tool hire from approved suppliersAuthorising materials purchases with approved suppliersActioning site requests for materials upon approvalLiaising with the site team and commercial team to ensure all orders are in line with budgets and costingEnsuring materials are in line with quality and health and safety standardsReporting damages or delays to orders and pursuing compensationResolving disputed invoices or accountsManaging the traceability of materials, hired tools and hired plant across sitesAbout You:Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within construction or merchant businessesProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and OutlookA relevant qualification in procurement or purchasing is beneficial but not requiredReliable, with a friendly demeanorPackage and Role Specifics:£35,000 - £45,000 depending on experienceAnnual BonusCompany PensionAnnual Leave AllowanceOn-site ParkingThis vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Approach Personnel Ltd that is operating as an employment business.
