Job DetailsMake sure to read the full description below, and please apply immediately if you are confident you meet all the requirements.BELLE GLADE, FLFull TimeHigh SchoolNoneAnyManufacturingDescriptionGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:The Electrician 2C is responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and machinery, and support in the installation of new electrical equipment. This role is required to follow electrical code, manuals, specifications, schematic diagrams, and blueprints to adhere to all safety electrical standards.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :Troubleshooting, predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance, and repairing electrical equipment, motors, motor control centers, switch gears, lighting circuits and fixtures, running conduit, and wiring all types of new electrical/controls installations.Repair, replace and install sensors, actuators, transformers, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, electric eyes, conduit systems, switches, defective writing, etc.Disassembles, inspects, reassembles, troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces malfunctioning parts or equipment (motors, switches, sensors, input /output boards, controllers' servos, gears, sprockets chains, knives, etc. using test equipment.Must be able to work closely with operations, supervision, and peers.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, blueprints, one lines, loop drawings, etc.Ability to write, edit and use SOP's, Lockout Tagout procedures, and makes recommendations for modifying PM job plans throughout the facility, etc.Available at any time requested to assist in the response to emergencies, assist with investigations, electrical failures, damage to property, fire losses, etc.Be a safety leader with solid safety behaviors and demonstrated leadership while working with others to achieve the site safety plan's goal of being a zero-injury workplace; knowledge & understanding of the 10 Life Saving Rules.Basic troubleshooting of Motor Control Centers, switch gears, thermal overloads and motor starters.Maintain and install electrical equipment.Assists with the planning, prioritizing, and scheduling of electrical maintenance with input from supervision based on operational need.Ability to follow work order instructions, acquire, and return spare parts using plant CMMS systems and provide written and verbal comments and feedback after any work is performed.Performs other related projects and assignments as business dictates.SKILLS AND ABILITIES :Must have intermediate mechanical aptitude, and advanced electrical aptitude.Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to comprehend and convey mechanical and electrical information.Operate yard truck, forklift, man lifts, overhead crane, hoist, various hand & power tools, computer, drill press, threaders, benders, grinders, micrometer, vernier caliper, t-square, level, impact wrenches and measuring tape.Ability to operate and effectively use power meter, ohms meter, megger, phase rotation checker, voltage tester, amp meter.Ability to operate and use a Motor Circuit Analyzer, and/or Vibration Analyzer a plus.Some personal insulated electrical tools are required.Ability to adapt quickly to a multicultural environment.Proficient with the National Electric Code (NEC), NFPA 70E, LOTO, PPE, OSHA workplace practices, etc.Familiarity with ISA/IEEE standards a plus.Must have colored vision to be able to identify, differentiate colored wiring.Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.Bilingual and Biliterate - English and Spanish, preferred.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :High school diploma, GED (or equivalent experience), with trade schoolJourneymanlevel skills with two (2) to three (3) years of previous electrical experience in a heavy industrial environment (utilizing voltages of, but not limited to, 120, 240,480, 4,160, 13,800.Must have knowledge of electrical theory, NFPA 70E, the National Electrical Code (N.E.C.), of PLC's and experience in industrial controls, transformers, and electric motor troubleshooting and repair.Understanding of material handling systems, piping, valves, pressure vessels, pumps, cooling towers, building & grounds, and air compressors beneficial.Knowledge and experience with computers and application software; specifically, MS Office, CMMS systems, Web based applications (preferred).PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :Regular attendance is required during your schedule shift including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.Must be able to work in hot, cold, wet, humid, dusty, and foggy working conditions depending on weather.Must be able to work in all positions (bending, climbing steps, kneeling, reaching, and crawling) and be able to continuously lift up to 50 pounds.FIRST-CLASS BENEFITS:We offer a suite of benefits, including but not limited to:Health, dental, visionShort-term and Long-term DisabilityCritical Illness, Accident, Hospital IndemnityEmployee assistance program - offers confidential counseling and support with mental, financial, physical, and emotional wellbeingPaid time off (vacation, sick, holidays, bereavement, jury duty)401(k) program with highly competitive matchTuition reimbursementCOMPANY VISION:SCGC's vision is to deliver the greatest value to our member-growers and employees by being an industry leader in all we do.
