Murphy Electric is part of a family-owned and operated business that is expanding in the Midwest.Any additional information you require for this job can be found in the below text Make sure to read thoroughly, then apply.We offer a variety of electrical services to our customers so if you are looking for a place to call home where you can make an immediate impact, work independently and continue to develop your skills as a professional - please apply!We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, and we take extra care to make sure our people return home safely and have a great work/life balance.We work hard to be a company that customers are proud to work with and employees are proud to work for.Job Description:Our Journeyman Electricians are responsible for installing and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment and components of machinery and equipment following electrical code, manuals, specifications, schematics, and blueprints as defined by the client's scope of work or engineering specifications.This is a full-time, hourly (non-exempt) position with the ability to work with an electrical apprentice.Responsibilities:Install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, andcomponents of machinery and equipment following electrical code, manuals,specifications, schematics, and blueprints.Install and repair control and distribution apparatus, includingrelays, switches, thermostats, circuit-breaker panels, etc.Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, andequipment using testing instruments and equipment.Test continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety ofcomponents using testing instruments.Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduitusing rulers, measuring devices, hand tools, pipe threader, and conduitbender.Receive and complete work orders.Select material and hardware and make time and materials estimates.Maintain accurate records on material and labor used.Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, andelectrical apparatus for equipment in new and existing facilitiesfollowing diagrams, schematics, or blueprintsPreferred QualificationsEducation/Certification: Valid Nebraska Class A JourneymanElectricians License and valid Nebraska driver's licenseKnowledge of electrical circuits and wiring and operating principlesof motorsKnowledge of local electrical codesMust be available for travel Monday - FridayBenefitsWeekly Pay!Per Diem when travelingMedical (Great medical insurance including family and dependent careplans!)Dental and Vision Insurance401K Retirement Savings Plan with employer matchShort- and Long-term disabilityLife InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO)Seven paid holidays
