Our ability to engage in transparent dialogue and co-creation, based on an ethical model, with our host communities and local authorities is the foundation of profitable operations for all our stakeholders.Job Description:We are hiring a Geotechnical Engineer & Mining Water Management Specialist to join our geotechnical department at COMILOG.Reporting to the Head of the Geotechnical Department, you will be responsible for ensuringthe stability of geotechnical structures and the management of mining water , supporting open-pit mining operations.Responsibilities:Ensure the stability of the following infrastructures:Open-pit mines (pits), slopes, and dumps (sand, waste).Stockpiles, including a deposit of over 1 million tons of manganese fines and sand.Conveyors / transport systems.Hills/Mounds.Supervise and lead:Geotechnical studies for planning and infrastructure design.Inspections and monitoring of mining infrastructure (landslides, erosion, cracks).Design and implementation of mining water management structures (ponds, ditches, drainage channels, berms).Installation and monitoring of geotechnical and hydrogeological instrumentation (piezometers, inclinometers, sensors).Updating the water management plan and ensuring existing infrastructure is maintained.Work in collaboration with:TSF (Tailings Storage Facilities) and Civil Engineering specialists in the geotechnical department.Operational mining teams to integrate geotechnical constraints into mining operations.The Group's Technical Directorate and specialized consulting firms.Your Profile:Engineering degree in Geotechnics, Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or Civil Works.At least 5 years of experience in geotechnical mining and water management for open-pit mines.Expertise in slope stability, mining water management, and geotechnical modeling.Proficiency in geotechnical and hydrogeological modeling software (Surpac, AutoCAD, Rocscience, Slide, Plaxis, GoldSim, Muck3D).Knowledge of international standards (AFNOR/ASTM, CDA, SFI).Ability to supervise teams and collaborate with mining operations.Fluent French required, English preferred.Fluent in English.Our Benefits:Join Eramet, a responsible and committed mining group, for a rewarding career in a dynamic, inclusive, and international work environment with numerous development opportunities!At Eramet, you will benefit from:An attractive salary with performance-related bonuses.Premium health and welfare coverage.An international environment with exceptional projects and opportunities for growth within an expanding group.A comprehensive onboarding process for a successful start in the company.For more information on our CSR commitments and values, visit our website.With operations on five continents and over 70 nationalities represented, Eramet is inherently diverse.
