DescriptionProficient with 3-phase, 480V, and industrial troubleshooting to assemble, install, test and maintainelectrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand, power, andprecision measuring tools. The Maintenance Mechanic / Electrician diagnoses malfunctioning systems,apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown andcorrect the problem. The Maintenance Mechanic / Electrician is responsible for the connection of wires tocircuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Responsible for observing and following all safetyregulations with required PPE. This is a first shift position (M-Th 6am - 3pm, F- 6am - Noon)ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Work in a team or independently to complete work orders and provide maintenance/electrical support.- Troubleshoot and maintain PLC and variable speed drive controlled high speed production equipment and batch processes- Maintain the power distribution of plant equipment.- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment, using precision measurement tools.- Interpret schematics and equipment manuals.- Adhere to plant safety and 5S requirements- Complete assigned work efficiently and per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).- Lead process improvement and initiate change.- Analyze process data and make decisions on equipment maintenance and improvement activities.- Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and operational inspections to increase equipment reliability andup-time.- Comply with all safety standards and regulations provided by the company and government (e.g. LOTO,Work Permits, etc.).- Utilize COGZ to accurately and thoroughly document and track all corrective and preventive maintenanceperformed throughout the course of the day; including searching and issuing parts, documenting equipmentissues and entering inspection/measurement points.- Prioritize and self-schedule maintenance work around production activities to achieve both production andmaintenance KPI's.- Drive warehouse goals & objectives through individually led projects and continuous improvementactivities.- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.- Track and analyze automation efficiency measures Ensure compliance with all safety and environmentalregulations.- Maintain cleanliness of facility to Red Diamond standards.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. PLC experience preferred.Skills Required- At least 2 years of industrial electrical/programming experience.- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environmentwith people of varying skills and backgrounds.- Highly motivated, self-directed, multi crafted worker that is able to work independently in a fast paced andoften loud production environment.Job Posting DetailsRed Diamond is an EOE/Veterans/Disabilities 3 of 4- Knowledge of safety policies and procedures is required (e.g. lock out / tag out, high voltage electrical).- Highly organized, self-motivated and results oriented with ability to manage priorities and coordinatemultiple projects simultaneously.- PLC programming preferred; multiple platforms such as Allen Bradley Control Logix, HMI, and ServoDrive programming and troubleshooting experience preferred.- Ability to troubleshoot problems, identify root causes (e.g. six sigma analysis) and propose and implementremedies. * Ability to perform calibrations, installation and maintenance of process and analyticalinstrumentation.- Ability to troubleshoot and re-wire high speed and/or highly automated equipment such as AC/DC motors,VFDs, PLCs, servo motors, and PLC I/O modules.- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.- Strong computer skills required; Microsoft Office Excel proficiency as well as Computerized MaintenanceManagement; Systems experience preferred.- Experience in computer networking (routers, Ethernet, switches, etc.) preferred.- Mechanical troubleshooting experience in high speed packaging and/or highly automated continuousprocess environment preferred.- Ability to perform mechanical work, valve replacement, conveyor bearing and chain replacement,motor/gearbox replacement, lube routes.- Ability to work all shifts (first and second shift) and overtime as necessary.- Perform duties in a work environment that can be wet, hot, cold, dirty and fast-paced.- Must be able to demonstrate ability to safely operate a forklift and scissor liftAdditional InformationMinimum Salary: $14.00 Maximum Salary: $20.00Pay Comments: DOE (Depends on Experience)SupplementalCompensation:NOHours Per Week: 40 Actual Hours: Hours Not SpecifiedShift: Day ShiftBenefits: Medical Plan: PPO/POS, Medical Coverage: Family, Dental, Vision, LifeInsurance, Paid Vacation, Paid Sick Leave, Retirement Plan, Disability, 401K
