This position will install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment by using a wide range of tools and instruments including, but not limited to conduit benders, wire tracers, voltage indicators, and cable cutters.Responsibilities:Perform a variety of maintenance tasks, such as electrical preventative maintenance, repair, lock-out/tag-out, disconnecting and removing motors, and responding to emergenciesTroubleshoot and repair 110 through 480-voltage alternating current equipmentPerform pipe bending and installation of electrical conduit, equipment, feeders, branch circuits, motors, and lightingInstall, maintain, test, and repair distribution center/office lighting and electrical equipmentExperience in building Electrical PanelsObtain measurements and readings using electrical and mechanical testing instruments, including digital multi meters, meggers, amp meters, ohm meters, and phase rotation metersWire pulling techniques from manual to mechanicalMaintain records of maintenance and repair work; prepare reports documentation, and correspondenceRead and understand electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and/or diagramsInspect electrical installations to determine maintenance requirements and proceduresTest and maintain electric motors, variable frequency drives, alarms, and control systems to ensure proper working conditionParticipate in electrical safety program and adhere to all safety proceduresPerform other related duties as assigned/required.Will be asked to help out with mechanical repairs on conveyors.Requirements:Work experience as an electricianPLC (Allen Bradly) experience in troubleshootingAC/DC Drive experienceKnowledge of the National Electric CodeFundamental knowledge of electricity and electronics as related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment, electronic solid state devices, circuits, wiring, and equipment in industrial stations and distribution centersAwareness and experience with lock-out/tag-out proceduresAbility to adhere to and observe all applicable safety procedures for working on, or in proximity to, open energized conductors and equipment, including CPR and first aid knowledgeWire pulling techniques experience (perform techniques from manual to mechanical)Layout and installation of electrical equipment, panels, and devicesAbility to read, interpret and draw mechanical and electrical schematicsAbility to work well with others and be a strong member of the team, as well as work effectively alone and unassistedHave knowledge of all tools and protective equipment and their use for work on, or in proximity to, open energized conductors and equipmentAptitude for analyzing problems and develop effective solutionsSCHEDULED WORK HOURS:Monday - Friday 7 AM - 3:30 PMSimon & Schuster US is an equal opportunity employer (EOE) including disability/vet.
