Civil Engineer III, Water/Wastewater

DescriptionPlease read the following job description thoroughly to ensure you are the right fit for this role before applying.Our Water Practice is seeking a Civil Engineer III, Water/Wastewater in San Diego, CA! As a part of our Water/Wastewater team, this Civil Engineer will be involved in a variety of projects focused on the planning and design of water and wastewater projects, including planning, conveyance, pumping, storage, and treatment.ResponsibilitiesPrepare construction drawings, technical specifications, and opinions of probable cost.Prepare design reports: Studies for Feasibility and Evaluation of Alternatives; Preliminary Design ReportsResolve technical issuesInterface and coordinate with other engineering disciplines, subconsultants, equipment vendors, and municipal agencies to move designs forward.Perform construction support services: submittal reviews; RFI response; evaluation of change order requestsRequirementsBachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineeringCalifornia PE license as a Civil Engineer7+ years of planning and design experience specific to potable water, recycled water, and wastewater conveyance and collection facilities, such as pumping stations, pipelines, wells, and storage facilitiesStrong communication and writing skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, MS Project.Proficiency in water/sewer modeling.Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation.CompensationThe salary range for this position is $110,000 - $150,000 annually. This will be dependent on the expertise of the candidate.
