In the U.S., Mattamy is represented in 11 markets - Charlotte, Dallas, Jacksonville, Naples, Orlando, Phoenix, Raleigh, Sarasota, Southeast Florida,Tampaand Tucson.What you'll doObserve on-site construction staffSchedule and communicate with subcontractors, inspectors and suppliersCollaborate and resolve daily on-site mattersInspect ongoing work for general compliance with codes, plans and specifications, and safety regulationsManage construction and production schedule of assigned homes from start to close, including 30-day warranty service request signoffEnsure on-time QA readinessAttend regular staff meetings, and discuss safety, quality, starts and closings, production timelines, costs and other issues as determined by Area Construction Manager or VP of ConstructionWalk each home twice daily to ensure imperfections are noted, general compliance with codes, plans and specifications, and safety regulations, and homebuyers' options and extras are as requestedUpdate online construction schedules dailyConduct on-site vendor, subcontractor and homeowner meetingsAssist, as needed, with scheduling material orders, verifying accuracy of material delivery, and providing adjustmentsManage loss prevention and lock/secure homes dailySchedule municipal inspectionsAssist inspectors with inspections, and rectify issues as requiredEnsure homes and sites are clean during constructionMonitor daily work functions: timeliness, general quality of workmanship, safety, hygiene adherence, scopes of work and completion of workReview subcontractor work for completion before approving invoices and/or PO's for paymentCoordinate activities with other staff (Site and Head Office) tofor seamless production operationWork with the Sales, Operations and Warranty teams to verify any and all punch items are completed prior to closing of the homeParticipate in jobsite safety management by logging infractionsEnsure adherence to Mattamy Policy and ProceduresPerform other related duties as assignedWhat you bringHigh school diploma or GEDrequired2+ years of experience in residential construction with building homes from start tofinishGeneral knowledge of applicable residential building codesProficient in construction scheduling with builder softwareMaintain compliance with company policies andproceduresAdhere to procedures as required by the subcontractor Scopes of Work and Mattamy Quality Standardsand take corrective action asnecessaryConduct a detailed frame check on each unit prior to drywall, in accordance with Mattamy Policy and Procedures, and follow up to ensure the timely completion of any itemsnotedEnsure all work is being done in a safe manner and enforce safetystandardsMust have, or be able to become,10 hourOSHA certifiedMust have, or be able to become, SWPPP CertifiedExemplify excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with Oversee internal and external customers, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, andothersWork well under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customerserviceExhibit computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel,Outlookand construction scheduling software)Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard acceptedpracticesAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and perform special projects and other duties as assigned bysupervisorMust have and maintain a valid Driver's License and be able tolift and carry up to 50lbs,,climb stairs and ladders, walk over uneven terrain,and work in an outdoor environmentBonus pointsBachelor's degree in Constructionor related programpreferredBuildPro software experiencepreferredBe yourself.
