OverviewWant to make an application Make sure your CV is up to date, then read the following job specs carefully before applying.As Senior Quantity Surveyor for Vision Built you will take full commercial responsibility and ownership for the project, working closely with the Contracts Manager/Project Manager and the construction team to ensure a successful project is delivered, whilemaintainingrelationships and maximising commercial returns and managing risk.ResponsibilitiesIntegrate the commercial strategy, amending with MQS to suit project as itdevelops.Liaise with & commercially influence/challenge the other members of the team and the construction process.Take ownership for, administer & represent the company in commercial &contractual issues, including but not limited to:Preparing tenders, analysing, selectingappropriate s/c & finalisings/c orders, financial & commercially manage to final Account completion.Prepare & present forecasts, targets & CV reconciliations.Prepare & agree valuations, including generating certificates &invoice/payments.Variations prepare withadequate/appropriate records, agree as worksprogress.Update projected Final Accounts on regular basis and prepare,submit& agree Final Accountin a timely manner.Involvement in value engineering & design developmentMaintain & protect JSS commercial & contractual entitlementSite records/admin & document controlInsurance & warrantiesRisk/opportunityReview & update project risk/opportunity plan, monitoring for changes& consider within any forecast reportsManage risk arisingManage opportunityExperience5+ years' experience as aSeniorQuantity Surveyor in residential/commercial construction"¯projectsAbility to communicate articulately, both verbally & in writingManage both people & situations sensitively to commercial advantage.Commercially inventive & astuteDemonstrate ownership and commercial awarenessEffective time management, organisational, interpersonal and negotiation skillsHave experience mentoring and managing othersAble to balance the need to be assertive and pragmatic, when dealing with a broad range of stakeholdersQualificationsCommercial appreciationBehavioural Based Safety (BBS)Adjudication / dispute resolutionLeadership & delegation skillsIntroduction to managementLegal appreciation / overviewCPD - Legislation & Industry TrendsCVR appreciationPresentation & communication skillsAdditional InformationCompetitive Salary with yearly increaseCompany Car or Car Allowance26 days holiday (optiontopurchase5 more)Employer pensionCompetitive mileage rateTravel expensesFlexible and remote workingEnhanced parental leaveProfessional and Educational developmentOur people are at the heart of our success and our proposition to them is work with purpose, have time for life, build a career with no limits and surround yourself with great people.Our Internal Recruitment Team fulfil all vacancies on a direct basis.
