Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a well-roundedCIVIL HIGHWAY Engineerto be based in the Newark, DE or Millsboro, DE offices. As part of AECOM's flexible work policy there can be the ability to work out of other AECOM offices in Philadelphia, PA and Conshohocken, PA at their convenience.In this role, you will provide technical support to teams working on small to medium scale transportation projects in Delaware while also working with other disciplines such as water resources and structures. ACIVIL HIGHWAY ENGINEERwill typically delegate tasks to less experienced engineers while providing technical guidance and support to those individuals. Current notable projects includeAirport Road Extensionin Rehoboth Beach, DE;SR1 and Cave Neck Road Grade Separated Interchangein Milton, DE; andSR8 and Chestnut Grove-Nault Road Intersection Improvementsin Dover, DE.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Design of roadway geometry, traffic control, signing, and pavement markingsDesign of drainage and basic erosion control measuresUtility coordination supportDetermination of applicable specificationsCalculation of cost estimates and quantitiesComputer Aided Design production and modelingInterdisciplinary coordinationAECOM project manager supportSub-consultant and client interactionPerform site visits and field investigations to gather necessary data for project design and implementationPrepare technical reports and presentations to communicate project progress, findings, and recommendationsEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations throughout the project lifecycleParticipate in project meetings and client presentations to discuss project details, address concerns, and propose solutionsContribute to business development efforts by assisting in proposal preparation and client relationship managementQualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering plus 2 years of related experience in a Civil Engineering role, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationPREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:Familiarity with OpenRoads, SignCAD or GuideSign, and AutoTURN software programsDesign experience with highway drainage, stormwater management and erosion & sediment controlsAbility and willingness to operate within a hybrid work environment with hybrid teamsValid Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM officesDemonstrated experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCADDemonstrated experience with spreadsheets, word processing, and standard office software (MS Office)Design experience working on projects for DelDOTProfessional Engineer License (PE) in any state, or ability to obtain a PE within 1 year of hireAdditional InformationSponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.Relocation is not available for this position.About AECOMAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
