DescriptionMake sure to apply with all the requested information, as laid out in the job overview below.Job Summary Details:The Carpenter/Painter performs necessary carpentry and painting duties to maintain facilities in good repair and appearance.Benefit Information:ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package.For information about ABM's benefits, visitABMEmployee Benefits | Front Line Team Members| (Programa de Beneficios de ABM)Basic Qualifications:•Must be 18 years of age or older•No high school diploma, GED or college degree required•No experience required and on the job training providedPreferred Qualifications:•One (1) year of similar work experience preferredResponsibilities:•Perform the carpentry duties necessary to maintain in good repair building woodwork and equipment such as bins, counters, benches, partitions, and doors•Plan and lay out work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments•Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work•Select materials necessary for the work•Paint walls, woodwork, and fixtures•Identify surface peculiarities and determine the types of paint required for different applications•Prepare surface for painting by removing old finish or by placing putty or filler in nail holes•Mix colors, oils, white lead and other paint ingredients to obtain proper color or consistency•Use spray gun and/or brush to apply paintA good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
