We seek those who desire to perform at high levels on an individual and team basis.About The Role:The Preconstruction Manager is responsible for managing, performing, and overseeing the preconstruction phase of a project. This includes estimating and budgeting, preparing documents and drawings, scheduling, and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers. They are also responsible for providing strategic guidance to the project team and ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed according to plan, timely, and within budget to be profitable.As a Preconstruction Manager at Milender White, you will:Manage all aspects of the preconstruction process, including conceptual estimating, budgeting, procurement, risk management and estimating, design, schedule, and health and safetyManage the products of accurate conceptual estimates from limited information, and update and review throughout the preconstruction periodAdvise client designers and consultants on cost parameters to be used in the development of the design to meet the set budgetWork closely with Owners and Consultants to discuss available options and provide advice on construction, methodology, and materials solutionsUnderstand and advise on the overall construction plan, including schedule, constructability, and logistics, together with their impact on project costsBe responsible for the development and maintenance of specific Project Risk & Opportunity Schedule, including chairing meetings with the project teamContribute to the assembly of proposal documentsCollaborate with others to develop, recommend, and implement the project execution plan after being awarded the projectRecommend project subcontractors and suppliers utilized in assembling or closing tenders and for project execution.Produce regular pre-construction reports for both internal and external useManage the prequalification and procurement processRegular chairing/attendance at meetings and communications with clientsCoordination of estimating/preconstruction activities with operationsInitiate processes to ensure client requirements are understood and metQualifications/ Experience:Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related fieldAnalytical skills with the ability to understand and evaluate risk and provide effective solutions10+ years of experience in preconstruction, construction, and/or a related industry3+ years of previous experience including quantity survey, cost evaluation, presentation, and communication with clienteleFamiliarity and demonstrated experience with multiple forms of collaborative project delivery, including design-build methods and hard-bidAbility to be a natural leader who enjoys teaching and mentoring othersStrong communication skills with clients, design consultants, team members, vendors, and subcontractorsAbility to negotiate for a win-win solutionCompensation and Benefits:Salary: 110k-175k annually100% Employer-paid health and vision insurance100% Employee-owned CompanyAdditional investment & equity opportunities available for all employeesDental insurance401(k) employer match upon eligibilityProfessional and career development opportunitiesIf this sounds like you, then Milender White may be the right fit.
