Full-timeAll potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application.DescriptionCompany DescriptionPowerRail Locomotive Services is a division of PowerRail - North America's leader for manufacturing and distributing locomotive parts to the global railroad market.We offer:Competitive compensation.Excellent benefits including health, dental, vision, life, disability, Flex Spending, 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership with profit sharingStimulating work environment with unlimited growth potential.Job DescriptionSample Duties:Electrician·Installs, maintains, and is knowledgeable about wiring, control panels and other electrical components as needed.·Tests and repairs circuit connections·Inspect various locomotive parts, and report issues when needed to GM·Performs final inspection process to ensure compliance with company standards·Use of hand tools and equipment to perform job duties·Adheres to appropriate work instructions in the completion of duties·Regulates and maintains storage batteries·Perform daily servicing, cleaning and repairs of machines when requiredMechanic·Assemble / disassemble parts as directed·Qualify mechanical devices in operation·Performs modifications asrequired·May assist electricians in performing electrical maintenance duties.·Diagnosing, repairing and maintaining equipment·Analyzing , Testing and repairing mechanical systems·Inspectcomponents to ensure each part is with in specifications·Use hand tools and specialize equipment to perform duties·Uses micrometers, assorted hand tools, assorted air tool and power toolsWelderAWS Certified D1.1-10 structural welding code - steel.Preps the area to ensure the area is clean and free of foreign matter before the welding process starts.Ensures proper safety equipment is worn.Sets the regulator on the bottle, the voltage for the gun and the speed for the wire.Performs MIG/Stick welding per customers specifications.Reviews welding procedure for number of welds and size.Reviews welding procedure preheating and type of rod for application.Perform daily servicing, cleaning and repairs of machines when required.We are also looking for experienced Sandblast Technicians for our locomotive shop.
