Title: Mutual Fund AccountantPlease read the following job description thoroughly to ensure you are the right fit for this role before applying.Location: Milwaukee WI- 53202Duration: 6+ month Contract Compensation: $32.00- $32.50hr Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the USJob Summary:The Fund Accountant is responsible for maintaining the general ledger and financial records of mutual funds with varying complexity and ensuring accurate end-of-day net asset value (NAV) calculations. This role involves performing daily accounting tasks, reconciling accounts, processing corporate actions, analyzing portfolio pricing, and distributing financial information. The Fund Accountant collaborates with internal teams, external administrators, transfer agencies, and prime brokers/custodians to ensure compliance with SEC regulations and GAAP principles.Key Responsibilities:• Maintain and update the general ledger for assigned mutual funds• Perform daily prime broker/bank cash reconciliations• Process advisor and portfolio management transactions• Apply corporate actions and process expense accruals and payments• Determine daily net asset value (NAV) and mill rate calculations• Conduct portfolio pricing analysis and validations• Ensure timely distribution of financial information internally and externally• Perform portfolio reconciliations and resolve discrepancies• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support compliance, audits, and financial reporting• Ensure all fund accounting functions adhere to SEC regulations and GAAP principlesBasic Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience• One to two years of experience in accounting or finance-related activitiesPreferred Skills & Experience:• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and analysis• Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and analyze financial data• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other financial software• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within tight deadlines• Effective communication and collaboration skills to interact with various stakeholdersOur benefits package includes: • Comprehensive medical benefits• Competitive pay, 401(k)• Retirement plan• ...and much more!About INSPYR SolutionsTechnology is our focus and quality is our commitment.
