Apply Today!Statement of Purpose:The role of Benefits & Compensation Specialist supports the daily operations of the Total Rewards systems, data, and programs. Strong skills in HR and benefits technology, including Excel and other data tools, are essential for accurate record-keeping, reporting, and troubleshooting of the benefits, compensation and leave of absence programs. This role requires effective communication with vendors and all levels of the organization, as well as close collaboration with HR, payroll, and accounting teams. Comfort with technology, data analysis, and problem-solving is key to success.Essential Functions:Administration & ComplianceActs as lead for benefits administration, enrollment support, and data management, including aspects such as system access and data integrityCompletes Total Rewards invoice payment processing, including routine auditing, invoice reconciliation, and resolving administrative problems with carrier representativesEnsures FMLA, COBRA, ACA, and other benefits-related regulatory compliance, including coordination of activities relating to COBRA notices, 5500 filing, Form 1095-C preparation, etc.Ensures accurate and timely calculation and submission of Flexible Spending Account and Health Savings Account deductions to the administratorEmployee Support & Issue ResolutionAssists with employee benefits support and troubleshooting and acts as first point of issue escalationCollaborates and coordinates with HR, payroll, and other organizational teams, as well as insurance carriers and other vendorsProcess Improvement & Policy DevelopmentSupports effective and efficient processes for the Total Rewards programs, including the timeliness of the funding and payment transactionsSupport design and administration of compensation, benefits and recognition programsAssists in monitoring, creation, and updating of Total Rewards-related policiesData, Reporting & Project InvolvementPerforms Total Rewards and leave program reporting and analysis both routine and ad hocEngages in Total Rewards/HR projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of Total Rewards-related aspects and perspectivesParticipates in overall planning for and support of the benefits enrollment and leave of absence processes, as well as any other special Total Rewards/HR-related initiatives, as neededOther ResponsibilitiesActs on behalf of or in the absence of the Director, Total Rewards as appropriate to ensure continuity of service for employeesOther duties as assignedRequirements: Qualifications - Education/Experience:High school diploma or GED and at least three years of experience in employee benefits, retirement and leave of absence administrationPHR/SHRM-CP and/or CBP/CEBS desirableCompetencies (Required Skills and Abilities):Advanced technology proficiency and data analytics, example advanced skill level with spreadsheets, benefits management systems, HRIS, and use of databases with the ability to analyze complex data and prepare comprehensive reportsStrong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficientlyEffective written and verbal communication skills to provide clear guidance and support to employees, managers and vendorsStrong interpersonal skills to work closely with other teams, employees and external partnersAbility to resolve Total Rewards-related issues, understand applicable regulations, and ensure complianceExtensive knowledge of current and ongoing HR and benefits-related regulatory compliance to ensure all practices meet legal requirementsOther Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of an employee for this job.
