AG Consulting Engineering, PC (AG), a design, engineering, and construction management firm, located in New York City. We are looking for several experienced Estimators to support our client on the Key Bridge Rebuild Project.Considering making an application for this job Check all the details in this job description, and then click on Apply.Position: Estimators (Quantity Takeoff)Location: Hanover, Maryland - position will be in the client officesProject: Bridge ConstructionOverview: Estimators will support our client in preparing and negotiating a Lump Sum estimate for the Key Bridge Rebuild Project.Responsibilities: Review, analyze, and interpret Contract Documents (RFP, specifications, etc.).Perform all tasks related to quantity takeoff and pricing of design-built projects in the infrastructure market.Coordinate with estimators and engineers/designers to provide constructability input and value engineering for preliminary project plans.Participate in Task Force Meetings, brainstorms, and working sessions with estimators and engineers/designers.Identify, quantify, and communicate Risk throughout the estimating process.Performing site visits and investigations as needed.Qualifications: Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related degree preferred.Broad knowledge and ability to understand project scheduling, cost control, specifications, and engineering drawings.5+ years of construction/engineering experience, specifically with heavy civil infrastructure projects.Knowledge of construction methods, costs, and techniques.Knowledge of construction safety and current federal & OSHA Requirements.Experience with CADD and 3D Modeling software preferred.Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)Posses strong mathematical and computer skills.Must be able to meet deadlines.Effective oral and written communication skills Candidates must possess a strong work ethic.Work independently as well as part of a team.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.Good diligence with the ability to recognize discrepancies.Must be willing to travel as the job requires.Other Requirements: Regular, reliable attendanceWork productively and meet deadlines timely.Commitment to safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt.Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.Perform work safely and effectively.
