Title: Project ManagerAll potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application.Location: Detroit, MI (Position is predominately remote, but will require occasional onsite meetings/special projects)Note: This is a W2 contract position; C2C and 3rd party candidates will NOT be consideredUnder minimal supervision of an Executive Leader, the Project Manager will perform and manage project work of a generally complex nature aimed at improving operating systems and functions, with increasing responsibility for project planning. They will budget and allocate analyst resources for projects within scope of responsibility. They will prepare reports and recommendations for management, and coordinate implementation whenever possible. They may act as a consultant on projects outside of specific assignments. They will be responsible for supervising tasks of support staff relative to assigned projects.Position Responsibilities:Work independently to manage complex projects involving coordination of multiple participants and teams, aimed at improving operating systems and functions withinMaintain a high level of responsibility for completion of projects within a department, hospital, or region with strategic implicationsConduct reviews of Hospital/Medical Group areas on a project basis, acting as a project lead for individual or multi-analyst projectsPrepare project plans, including scheduling, costs, personnel matters, and other operational concernsDevelop and refine project scope and objectives, and develop and refine project work plansRecommend and provide input for budget preparationGuide day-to-day activities of the project team, including facilitating and/or leading meetings and teamsSupply periodic project updates to hospital administration, prepare project management reports, and coordinate written and verbal presentations of project findings, conclusions, and recommendationsConceptualize ideas, develop work plans, and plan execution into project formatsDevelop and determine priorities and monitor the status of projects on an ongoing basisExercise independent judgment and make difficult decisions while working with all levels of the hospital, region and systemConduct interviews with users and performs various data gathering techniquesFoster teamwork with all involved parties to ensure efficient project operationsDocument current systems and operationsAnalyze client systems, procedures, and operations, and identify opportunities for improvementIdentify and test alternative methods and procedures, and identify associated costs and benefitsDefine requirements to modify existing procedures or develop new systemsAssist in the implementation of revised or new methodsGuide support staff in performing operations analysis and decision support activitiesEstablish work schedules and priorities to ensure that work flow is controlledIdentify internal staff development needs and opportunities for improvement or enhancement of staff skillsPosition Qualifications:A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Operations Analysis, Management Engineering, Operations Management, or other related analytical field within healthcare or management consulting, directed toward process improvement; previous supervisory and/or consulting experience preferredProject Management experience in the areas of infrastructure, applications, EPIC EMR Systems, data/cybersecurity, or process governance preferredA minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, or other relevant technical/ management field; Master's Degree and/or PMP Certification highly preferred
