The Hospital Risk Manager will carry-out her/his duties by adhering to the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct, acts in the best interest of Hospital, and fully supports the mission, vision, and values of the Hospital.Job ResponsibilitiesHandles potential/actual professional and clinical claims including the performance of record reviews and staff investigationsCollaborates with physicians, legal department, and health care staffInteracts with patients and patient's family membersServes as a coordinator for resolution of general liability, property and theft claimsWorks on an "on call" basis at times when emergencies ariseEngages in ongoing development of patient safety education for hospital staffResolves conflict proactivelyAttends staff meetings and safety workshops Assists with facilitation of hospital safety drillJob RequirementsBachelor's degree in health care managementMaster's degree in clinical science preferredBLS trainingCertified as risk management professional (CRMP)Minimum 4 years' experience as a risk/patient safety manager4 years' experience as a risk/patient safety manager with management duties preferredProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteEEOC:40HRS Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination and Harassment of Any Kind: 40HRS Staffing is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
