The shift will be 12 hours rotating.Apply now, read the job details by scrolling down Double check you have the necessary skills before sending an application.About the Lifeline Transport TeamThe team is part of The Department of Emergency Services at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, which is a designated Level 1 Adult Trauma Center and regional Pediatric Trauma Center for the state of Maryland.The Lifeline team executes thousands of patient transports yearly, providing advanced life support and critical care services to The Johns Hopkins community 24/7.ResponsibilitiesProvide input into the care of acute patients and assist in stabilization and maintenance of therapeutic modalities as an EMT-Basic.Function under the rules, regulations, and protocols of Maryland's Emergency Medical Services System during out-of-hospital patient transport by ambulance, medical campus emergency responses, and medical standby events.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Successful completion of an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)-Basic Program.A minimum of one year experience as a full-time BLS provider within the last two years, and preferred two years of EMS or hospital experience.Maryland EMT- Basic certification required at time of hire.National Registry EMT - Basic certification required upon hire or within the first 90 days of employment.District of Columbia EMT - Basic certification required upon hire or within the first 120 days of employment.Valid CPR certification required upon hire.Unrestricted valid driver's license.About Working at Johns HopkinsWe are committed to patient safety, clinical excellence, optimizing outcomes through evidenced-based practice, and lifelong learning.Johns Hopkins Health System requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus, except for individuals with religious beliefs or medical reasons.Additional InformationJHM prioritizes the health and well-being of every employee, offering a welcoming and inclusive environment where diversity and inclusion are core values.
